Privacy Policy

This page explains what Clip Tycoon, run by Adrian Cho, knows about you and what it does with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, username and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store the password itself.
- What you do on the site: campaigns you create or join, links to the clips you submit, and the YouTube channels you connect.
- Public information from YouTube: the view count and channel of each submitted video, and the name and description of each channel you connect. We read these through YouTube API Services.
- Payment records: what a campaign cost, what a clip earned, and what was paid out. Your card number, bank details and identity documents go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them.
- Technical records: our host’s log keeps the page requested, the time and your IP address for a short time.
Cookies
Clip Tycoon uses one cookie to keep you logged in (for up to 30 days) and one very short-lived cookie to show you a confirmation message after an action. It has no advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run the site: show campaigns, count views, work out earnings and pay them.
- To prevent fraud, such as fake views or one person claiming another’s videos.
- To answer you when you write to us, and to meet legal and tax duties.
We don’t sell your information and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Other users: campaigns are public. A game creator sees the username and clip links of clippers who submit to their campaign.
- Stripe processes payments and payouts and checks the identity of people being paid.
- Google: we send YouTube the IDs of submitted videos and connected channels to read their public details, and the site’s fonts load from Google Fonts. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Railway hosts the site and its database, in the United States.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account for as long as you use it. Email improvproject6@gmail.com to have your account deleted. We may have to keep payment records after that where tax or accounting law requires.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing improvproject6@gmail.com.
Children
Clip Tycoon is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, email improvproject6@gmail.com and we will remove it.
Security
The site is only served over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored hashed, and payment details are handled by Stripe. No website can promise perfect security, so use a password you don’t use anywhere else.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
